    The American Legion Riders
The American Legion riders are members of the American Legion who are also motorcycle enthusiasts. They can be found participating in parades, partaking in motorcycle events, and supporting the communities in which they live, work, and play. Members of the ALR come from the Legion and the Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of the American Legion.

The American Legion Riders were formed...
...to participate in parades and other ceremonies that are in keeping
with the Aims and Purposes of the American Legion.
...to promote motorcycle safety programs and too provide a social
atmosphere for American Legion members who share the
                interest.
... to use our Association to promote and support programs of the
             American legion.

The American Legion Riders is not a motorcycle club and does not practice motorcycle rules or regulations. The American Legion Riders is
a family-oriented, just as is its parent organization the American Legion.

There are several ALR members who are PGR members as well. Who is the PGR? A group of outstanding individuals from all walks of life. You have vets, loved ones of vets, active duty soldiers, and some are just average citizens. All are Riders who support our troops, riding in all types of events to honor our brave men and women in uniform around the globe.

The 2007 American Legacy Run

Last years Legacy Run kicked off at the 500 post in Speedway Indiana and went all the way to Reno Nevada. A lot of us #113 Riders rode with the group to the first stop in Illinois. Was really cool have the Indiana State Police escort us to the state line. Some of us were actually told to speed up....by the Troopers. First for everything I guess.

To the right is our Director Joe giving Paul A. Morin, of Massachusetts, a final check bringing us well over a  $1,000.00 raised last season. Not bad for our first year huh? This year we'll do even better without a doubt.

This weeks funny

I found the Lebanon High School swim team practicing at the
park the other day so I stopped and took a snap shot.

Man, the park is looking a little rough since they canned Roger as Parks Director...

Have you ever wondered........

Why do you have to 'put your two cents in'... But it's only a 'penny for your thoughts'?  Where's that extra penny going to?
