Very Important Meeting Coming Up On May 8th @ 7pm...

Commander John Lacey is asking everyone to attend

 

We are behind about a month and there is some important business that needs to be taken care of in next months meeting. We have to elect officers for every position, this year our goal is to fill every office. If you are interested in filling any of the remaining positions just come to the next meeting and have someone nominate you for that position. Then voting will take place and elected officers will take over in June. Also we are wanting more participation from our members. We need to support the Legion more than what has been done in the recent past. We are looking for new ideas on how to raise dollars for the Legion. If you have an idea then bring it to the next meeting. No idea too crazy to lend an ear to. With our collective minds we can surely come up with half a dozen new ideas to implement this year. We already have a few things on the schedule but we need more. Everyone must remember that we are only here because of the Legion, we owe them our support. It starts with you, your ideas and your commitment to our efforts. We work as a team, we achieve as a team. If you can not attend the meeting then please send the commander an email with an idea you may have for a fund raiser. Or just simply send him an email letting him know if you can't attend.

As a reminder, is everyone current on their dues for '08? If not you can still attend the meeting and bring your dues with you.

List of business to take care of at next meeting

@ 7pm we are having a joint meeting involving the Legion Regulars, SAL and the AUX. After that short meeting we'll break off into our separate groups and conduct the following Business:

  • Nominate persons to fill vacant positions in the SAL

  • Vote to fill those positions
  • submit ideas for consideration
  • Think tank and choose some of the ideas and discuss how to get them accomplished. (Full credit will be given to who's idea we decide to implement.)
  • Have a couple of beers to celebrate those who are elected.

 

Remember, if you can't attend then please send any ideas you have to our commander. We can still discuss them in your absence and you will still get credit for the idea.
